The Agapè Centre is proud to present Your Community Resource Hub, a new initiative to provide support for people using our services.

Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space for people to seek the support they need to be informed about available services and resources and subsequently system navigation. A sincere thank you to all our community partners who have agreed to be part of this new program.

Community Partners

Respect RX Pharmacy

Do you require medical supplies like incontinence products, ostomy supplies, compression stockings, mobility aids, etc? Most of these items are covered and Respect RX Pharmacy is here to help you apply. They handle the process from start to finish, including assessment, filling out the appropriate forms (ODSP, OW, Non-Insured) and following up with the payors to ensure coverage.

Clinique Juridique Roy McMurtry Legal Clinic 

Offering free legal advice and referrals on legal issues, including housing (landlord and tenant issues), Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, WSIB, CPP-Disability, Employment Law, Consumer Protection (including door-to-door sales of HVAC equipment) and Human Rights Law. 

Central Healing Counselling Inc. Services 

Learn some quick tips/resources for coping with various mental health concerns and therapeutic services available to those in need.

City of Cornwall Housing Programs

A City of Cornwall Housing Programs staff will assist individuals in completing housing programs applications and answer questions pertaining to these various programs. The applications range from Social Housing Registry, Rent Supplement, Homelessness Prevention Program, Ontario Renovates, Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit (COHB). No eligibility decisions will be rendered on-site. Only completed applications will be accepted. Staff may refer the individual to other community partners for other services.

Victim Services of Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry and Akwesasne

A Victim Services of S.D.G.&A. Family Court Support Worker will be available. The family Court Support Worker provides support to female and male victims of domestic violence who are involved in the family court process. The role of the FCSW is to enhance client safety by reducing the risk of future violence, improving access to services and supports serving the communities of Cornwall, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Akwesasne and Prescott-Russell.

Seaway Valley Community Health Centre

Learn about the Centre’s various free community health and wellbeing programs as well as the one-on-one and family nutrition counselling services available to all community members. They will also be able to answer questions and provide resources for eating well on a budget.

Volunteer Income Tax Clinic

A volunteer will assist in completing your income tax return for 2022 and prior years if needed. This program is open to everyone requiring a basic income tax return. 

Canadian Mental Health Association

CMHA Community Support programs are client-centered services designed to enhance the rehabilitation, adjustment and independence of individuals living with a severe mental illness or concurrent disorder (mental illness combined with substance use disorder). 

These services are flexible, portable and community-based. They are designed to facilitate maximum client participation and self-determination. 

The Case Manager works in collaboration with clients and informs them about choices as well as helpful life skills. It is up to the client to make decisions that influence all aspects of their lives.
