Over 400 children don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Countless Cornwall families have frequent difficulty putting food on the table. Many hardworking parents have to choose between paying the rent or feeding their kids. We CAN make a difference – if we all work together.
The Agapè Centre is Cornwall’s largest hunger relief organization, providing emergency food and access to services to children and seniors, the working poor, and scores of Cornwallites who face hunger every day. Their stories are as diverse as the city served by the Agapè Centre: working families hit hard by the recession, women and children, seniors trying to make ends meet. The one thing they have in common is being part of a food system that desperately needs additional support.
Today, the Agapè Centre wants to make it easy for people to donate just $10. We are a launching a new video to show you just how easy it is. If you share our video online, we will enter your name in a draw to win a $20.00 gift certificate to shop in our Thrift Store. Contest ends March 20th, 2013.
