Soup Kitchen

Our cook, Ludwik, shows off a delicious summer salad made with fresh veggies from our own garden.

You are welcome to eat in our soup kitchen. We serve lunch Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 1:30 pm.

Our cook works to make sure that all meals are nutritious and delicious. Lunches usually have 1,000 to 1,500 calories and contain 2/3 of the daily food group requirements.

In order to make sure that we can feed everyone, we ask that you eat your lunch within 20 minutes.

Sometimes we are open on a Saturday because of the generosity of a church or social group. Notices will be posted in our reception area the week before (green = open, red = closed).

Clients of the food bank eat at the soup kitchen for free. Anyone not registered with the food bank may eat for $2.

A client favorite: chicken goulash, mashed potatoes, turnips with cinnamon, and stuffing, with a side summer salad, dessert and coffee. Yum!
